Subject: Pennello problems
X-Listprocessor-Version: 6.0c -- ListProcessor by Anastasios Kotsikonas
Status: RO
X-Status:
I'm getting an error when I try to invoke the Pennello plugin from the
Effects panel. The message is that the effects library won't load.
I initialized the plugin through the /plugins/pnlolite directory, where it
resides, along with "pnlolite.efx" .
This is the revised lwpnlo.p that was put on line about a month or so ago...
NT, Pentium...
Any ideas?
As an aside, I notice that Arnie Cachelin has an article on LW in the
December issue of Digital Video. His mention of the Pennello plugin reminded
me that the damn thing had been sitting unused, so I decided to try it.
One of the illustrations with the article is of a "cel look" plugin at work.
This is not the undocumented polygon edges feature, but apparently an
image-manipulation algorithm that outlines the only edges of the object (not
individual polygons) and also reduces complex textures and colors to simple
color blocks. The effect is very much like a pen-and-ink animation cel, if
the DV illustration is any indication.
I think this plugin may have been mentioned here on the list a while ago.
Didn'y pay much attention then, but having seen the example, I'm very
impressed. Anybody know who is working on this, or when it is expected?
